Mouth Muscle Workout
In this post I'm going to share with you the ideal daily mouth muscle workout routine!
The organs of articulation are muscles and need to be trained regularly.
So, like with any workout we should warm up our muscles first!
Let's start with a jaw massage! There is a muscle at the jaw hinge which connects the upper and lower jaws. Massage this area using circular movements.
While doing this start to hum to warm up the vocal chords. (MMMMMM) x 5
And now the tongue! Stick it all the way out of your mouth, then move it to the left, now the right. Repeat this 10 times.
Keep the tongue out, but instead of moving it left to right we are going to move it up and down. Try touch your nose and your chin! Repeat this 10 times.
Now let's stick it in and out as far as you can 10 times!
Now let's release tension and blow your lips out by breathing in deeply and then exhaling while making a PRRRRRRRR sound.
Now relax the tongue and make a TRRRRRRRR sound.
Play with the pitch and go up and down in sound while making these sounds. Do each one 5 times.
Let's pucker up those lips and smile!
To work the lips and cheek muscles alternate between a kiss and smile!
Kiss-smile-kiss-smile-kiss-smile-kiss-smile-kiss-smile.
Now again, but this time when you make the smiling face try not to move your cheeks and exaggerate the kissing face.

These sounds are formed in the front of the mouth just behind the top teeth.

Now let's switch between sss and zzz.
These sounds are also formed in the front of the mouth but behind the bottom teeth.

These sounds are formed starting with the lips closed and releasing the air quickly so the mouth opens slighty.
